A: As a Mom, our mental and physical struggles are unique. We often feel things differently, or are so busy taking care of others, that we forget to feel for ourselves altogether.
It’s important that we take moments to treat ourselves, and not just on a surface level. At Well Moms & Co., we focus on treating our minds and bodies through connection, support and health care services that are designed with you in mind. It’s the kind of “treat” that doesn’t only feel good in the moment, but is long lasting, and over time, becomes truly transformative.
A: Well Moms and Co. is catered to all moms at all stages. Those trying to conceive; those who are prenatal or postpartum; surrogate mothers; mothers who have kids who are no longer kids; mothers who are grandmothers; and so on. Still not sure if we’ve got what you need? Talk to us. We’re here to help you through your motherhood journey, whatever that may look like.
A: Right now, our focus is massage therapy and acupuncture, but our goal is to support mothers in so many more ways. We’re currently looking to round out our services and community by offering chiropractic care and pelvic health physiotherapy, helping to give moms all they need in one place. Stay tuned!
Need support that’s not listed? Let us know and we’ll see how we can help.
A: We currently offer a 25-minute Community Acupuncture session twice a week. The session is a sliding scale of $20-40.
A: All of our Practitioners are registered with their professional college. Each benefit plan is unique in what they cover. It is best to confirm with your insurance company what your plan covers and if you require a doctor’s prescription for coverage.
A: That depends on a few things, but one thing is certain: comfort first. Once you and your RMT determine the appropriate treatment for your goals, the RMT will explain the best way to treat the area(s) of the body. If you are not comfortable, the RMT will modify the treatment to ensure your comfort. It is always your choice what level of undress you choose.
A: Massage Therapy is generally safe in all trimesters. Our RMTs are trained to ensure that we provide safe treatments at every stage of pregnancy.
A: Naturopathic medicine is a primary health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. It works to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying cause of disease.
Naturopathic doctors treat with diet and lifestyle changes, and natural therapies including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy and traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture.
A: The initial intake is typically one-and-a-half hour in length and includes a detailed history. We will take the time to find out about your family history, your lifestyle, the stressors in your life, past medical history, and significant events in your life that may have affected your health or well-being. We will talk about your symptoms, your mental health, digestion, diet, any pain you feel - we go through it all. Then we will work together to create a plan to best address your health goals, and do a follow-up to ensure that your plan is going well, and to address any concerns that come up.
Your naturopathic doctor is here to support you through every health concern and with every health goal, and so follow up appointments will vary depending on your individual concerns.
